The pain barrier

A Sydney reader has sent this example of an art museum losing it in the struggle to display contemporary art to its public. In this case the museum is too scared of Serra to put in hidden safety features so the work can't fall and equally scared of dispatching a kid or two. And so the Art Gallery of New South Wales chose instead to totally compromise the visual and physical effect of the work instead.
