Not seeing is believing

You have to admit that when the people at the Auckland Art Gallery get an idea, they do follow through. They are now firming up on the who-needs-to-see-the-art-to-have-an-opinion aspect of the Walters Prize pioneered by this year’s jury.

Voting for the People’s Choice Award has opened online so you can vote for an exhibition you haven’t seen. Provocatively the Gallery supplied with the link to the voting site only images of the exhibitions the jury didn’t see, rather than the current Walters Prize exhibition in Auckland. Exciting.

You can jump on in and cast your vote here

Some readers are having trouble getting to the voting site. Best to go to this AAG page and scroll to the People's Choice link in red where you can vote.
